With a highly skilled permanent workforce and a comprehensive fleet of equipment and machinery J&D Rigging provide a professional and economical service to its entire client base. The company originated focusing firmly on “on site services” but with greater and constantly changing project requirements J&D constructed and operates a fully functional and equipped fabrication and manufacturing work shop in Townsville.
With a proven track record for constructing and delivering on time and within budget, from minor works through to but not limited to contracts in excess of $15 000 000 both nationally and looking to expand abroad. Accompanied with an outstanding safety history and culture J&D have the resources and expertise to ensure a project is undertaken and delivered exceeding a clients expectations.
Due to increasing demand J&D has recently expanded their service delivery to civil and concrete construction, from the construction and installation of pre-cast concrete tilt panels through to on site concreting and steel fixing and equipped with a highly multi skilled workforce has began providing a comprehensive civil division equipped with personnel and machinery needed from concept through to completion.
Whilst Doris and her team manage the administrative and finance side of the business ensuring that all accounts, payments etc., are processed in a professional and timely manner
COMPANY HISTORY
From there humble beginnings in Mount Isa, John and Doris Hassell set up J & D Rigging operations in 1994 with a 20 tonne Unic crane as the 'pride of the fleet'. The business grew rapidly as a partnership until August 1996 when the company, J & D Rigging Pty. Ltd. was formed, and as expected, has continued to mature into what you see today.
John Hassell, Managing Director, has worked in the Rigging and Scaffolding Industry since 1975 after starting his boilermaking apprenticeship when 14 years old. John's primary role within the company is to apply his experience and knowledge both in a supervisory and hands on capacity, to any work undertaken by the company. As such he can usually be found on site ensuring the excellent standard of service and workmanship to which J & D Rigging Pty Ltd has become known for is maintained.
Demand for their service and expertise continued to increase requiring the purchasing of a fleet of cranes and associated plant and equipment expanding their capability, the company relocated to Townsville. It's in this thriving city where the company has continued to grow servicing industry throughout Queensland.
